Rep. Bousselot Passes First Bill Through the Iowa House
On Wednesday, February 23, Rep. Mike Bousselot (R-Newton) of House District 37 successfully floor managed his first piece of legislation through the Iowa House.
House File 2401 sets a framework for the disclosure of high-volume third-party seller information who use online marketplaces.
"I was honored to have the opportunity to successfully run my first bill on the House floor," said Bousselot. "'Buyer beware' is a maxim we’ve all heard many times throughout our lives. But in the 21st century, the information a buyer needs to beware is not always readily available. This is a bill to give that information to consumers through the third-party online marketplaces."
HF 2401 passed the House with a nearly unanimous vote of 94-2.
