Today, Representative Martin Graber (R-Fort Madison) led a bill to support Iowa Veterans through the Iowa House.

House File 2501 allows greater flexibility in the state’s investment strategy to help grow the Veterans Trust Fund, a fund used to improve the quality of life of our Iowa veterans.

"As an Army vet myself, I was proud to lead the charge to get this bill through the Iowa House," said Graber. "These folks stepped up when called upon and served our country well. Now it’s time to make sure our state can step up and help them when they call upon us."

Speaker Pat Grassley praised Representative Graber's work on this legislation.

"I appreciate Representative Graber's hard work to get this bill for Iowa veterans across the finish line," said Grassley. "With this bill, Graber is delivering common sense legislation that will allow the state to provide additonal support to more of our veterans."

HF 2501 passed unanimously through the Iowa House with a vote of 99-0.
