(DES MOINES) -- Ahead of the 2024 Legislative Session, Representative Josh Meggers (R-Grundy Center) has been added to the Iowa House Public Safety Committee.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the Public Safety Committee," Meggers said. "I've devoted my career outside of the Capitol to keeping our communities safe as a State Trooper. Now, I'm eager to apply that experience inside the Capitol on this committee. Let's get to work."

In addition to his new role on Public Safety, Meggers also serves on the Agriculture and Transportation committees as well as the Administration and Regulation budget subcommittee.

The 2024 Legislative Session begins on January 8th, 2024.
